Job Summary:

 

Production Helper I is an entry-level position in the Manufacturing department. The Production Helper I assists the Manufacturing Operators operating the assigned manufacturing equipment. This position is also responsible for following company SOPs, adhering to cGMP guidelines and all environmental, health, and safety guidelines, and maintaining high standards in compliance and quality during operations.

Essential Functions and Detailed Duties

 

  • Must be able to complete the following manufacturing tasks:
    1. Assist Manufacturing Operators in operating assigned manufacturing equipment, including shutdown/start-up of the machines following the established procedures.
    2. Be able to move around and place the required material for manufacturing so that it is ready to be utilized.
    3. Assist the Manufacturing Operator in performing coating, compression, encapsulation, granulation/blending, or soft gel function following the instructions in the manufacturing batch record.
    4. Assist the Manufacturing Operator in equipment cleaning according to machine requirements or SOP. 
  • Appropriately document activities in batch records, forms, and other GMP documents.
  • Offer suggestions to superiors and follow up on process improvements related to safety, compliance, cost, and productivity.
  • Recognize and report any atypical occurrences or discrepancies.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and guidelines. Must report unsafe conditions, near misses, and/or injuries in a timely manner. 
  • Adhere to cGMP’s and Standard Operating Procedures as required.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace.
  • Follow applicable safety guidelines while operating the manufacturing equipment.
  • Be able to perform other duties as assigned.

 

Specialized Skills and Knowledge:                 

 

  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must complete departmental SOP, GMP, and any required Qualifications.
  • Ability to work in a team.

  

Experience and Education                             

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No previous experience required.

 

Physical Demands/Factors:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands; talk; and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Compensation and Benefits


Compensation:


This is a non-exempt position that pays $19.05 per hour.


This pay represents the base hourly rate.  In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus which aligns to both individual and company performance.
