With your help as a mini‑bus driver, elderly residents at HammondCare Residential Aged Care will enjoy fun and relaxing short outings around the local community.
You’ll be joined by one of our care staff, who will support residents and look after their needs throughout the trip.
Your friendly presence can make each outing a highlight of their week.Â
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
18 years and over, Safe driving record, NDIS screening arranged and paid for by HammondCare•
We are happy to discuss your availability based on the requested outing times at the residential site. The Duration of the trip is between 1-2 hours and will run during the week between Mondays 10:30am-12pm & 1pm – 2:30pm, Tuesdays 10:30am-12pm, Wednesday 10:30am-12pm, Friday 10:30am-12pm)
