Position Summary Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring nursing care is provided according to established standards and policies, in keeping with all Federal, State and local regulations and ensure the highest degree of quality is always maintained. The Registered Nurse is responsible for hands on resident care, proper and timely administration of medications and treatments, accurate verbal and written reports and rapid response to all emergency situations.

Key Contributions
- Performs professional nursing services such as resident assessment, administering medications and treatments and directing the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
- Ensures written policies and procedures governing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department are followed by all nursing personnel assigned to you.
- Ensures Nursing Service Procedure manual is followed in rendering nursing care.
- Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, charting, written reports on any unusual or abnormal observations, emergency care, resident needs, family concerns, change in physician orders, narcotic records, follow-up care, resident care plan revisions and all changes related to ensuring quality resident care is provided.
- Meets with assigned nursing staff to plan the shifts services, programs, and activities and to ensure your assigned nursing assistants are aware of the resident care plan and are used in administering daily care to the residents.
- Makes written and oral reports concerning the activities of your shift and ensure your nurses’ notes reflect the care plan is being followed.
- Ensures all nursing service personnel are knowledgeable of the resident’s rights and responsibilities.
- Ensures all nursing care is provided in privacy and nursing service personnel knock before entering the resident’s room.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
- During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to remain on duty for the duration of the event.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required
- Active Florida Registered Nurse licensure required
- Active Florida CPR Certification is required
- Minimum of 6 months experience in medical-surgical nursing. Previous experience with geriatric patients is desirable.
