 What You'll Do
As a Childcare Teacher, you’ll help create a classroom where children feel safe, supported, engaged, and excited to learn.
You’ll:
- Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, movement, and exploration.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment where every child can thrive.
- Develop lesson plans that reflect each child’s interests, abilities, talents, culture, and individual learning style.
- Lead daily classroom activities and help create an engaging, organized learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with children and serve as a caring, dependable role model.
- Follow EEC regulations, NAEYC standards, and Old Colony YMCA policies and procedures.
- Help make each day at the Y a little more fun, meaningful, and memorable!
Schedule
Full-Time | Min. 35 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Shifts range between 6:45 AM and 5:30 PM.
What We're Looking For
You’ll need:
- To be at least 21 years old, OR have a high school diploma/equivalent and meet EEC education and experience requirements for a Teacher.
- EEC Teacher Certification
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications- willing to train
- Evidence of a physical examination within the last 12 months.
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them learn, grow, and have fun!

Full time positions are hourly 35- 40 hours weekly M-F shifts range between 6:45 am and 5:30 pm.
