Custodian (Full-Time, Day Shift)

Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: Hawkswood School - Eatontown, NJ, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $45000.00 - $52000.00Salary/year, Job Shift: Day, Hawkswood School is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented full-time Day Custodian to join our team.The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.The anticipated start date for this position is November, 2026.ResponsibilitiesHawkswood School's daytime custodian provides primary daytime custodial coverage and performs various cleaning duties.  The custodian maintains safe, clean and sanitary conditions, responds to urgent needs, and communicates with the Educational Facilities Manager.   Duties include but are not limited to: Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas. Monitor and replenish restroom supplies. Respond promptly to spills, sanitation needs, and maintenance concerns. Assist with cafeteria and school facility cleaning. Perform routine cleaning, floor care, trash disposal, and general custodial duties. Coordinate daily cleaning priorities with the evening custodial team. Follow established school safety and sanitation procedures. ScheduleMonday - Friday 7:00am - 3:45pm, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch period, for a total of 40 hours per week.Hawkswood School provides a competitive annual salary ranging between $45,000 and $52,000 per year, based upon experience.  Additionally, full time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.  Qualifications and Skills: Skills and Qualifications Hold a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous custodial or building maintenance experience required. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to perform physical custodial duties, including include frequent standing and walking; bending, reaching, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe school environment.
