This role partners with lending staff to prepare, process, book, and fund loans while helping ensure loan, credit, and collateral files are complete, accurate, and well organized.You will work closely with Commercial/Ag Relationship Managers, Banking Coordinators, Credit Analysts, and the loan servicing team to move transactions forward efficiently and protect the Bank's collateral interests. Position Summary:As a Commercial/Agriculture Loan Processor I, you will help ensure loan transactions are documented, booked, funded, and maintained accurately. Your work will include: Working with Commercial/Ag Relationship Managers and Banking Coordinators to prepare accurate loan and collateral documentation that reflects approved loan terms and conditions Obtaining lien and UCC searches, releases, appraisals, title insurance commitments, insurance evidence, and other documentation needed to establish and protect the Bank's collateral position Creating and maintaining complete physical and electronic credit and collateral files, including accurate filing and timely follow-up through the Bank's tickler system Sending executed documents for recording, including mortgages, deeds of trust, vehicle titles, and UCC filings Completing loan funding functions by verifying documents are properly executed, preparing wire instructions, submitting payoffs, and booking balanced loan transactions to the core system Coordinating loan closings with title companies and attorneys, including timely delivery of documentation before closing Verifying that required approvals and applicable regulatory, credit policy, and operational requirements are met Responding to internal questions and requests with professionalism, accuracy, and a focus on timely serviceQualifications: What We're Looking For:Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Prior banking experience is highly desired One to three years of commercial, agricultural, mortgage, or other loan processing experience preferred Experience with Jack Henry, LaserPro, Sageworks, or similar core banking and loan documentation systems is helpfulKnowledge & Skills Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and manage work independently High degree of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing documents, maintaining files, booking loans, and funding transactions Ability to make sound, timely decisions and adapt to changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with tact, professionalism, and confidentiality Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; comfort learning and using banking systems and loan documentation software Ability to use critical reasoning, ask the right questions, and gather complete information before moving work forward Commitment to following Bank policies, procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirementsWorking Conditions: Work is performed primarily within the Bank, with limited chance of personal injury Full-time schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch Occasional overtime may be needed to meet loan closing, funding, or other business deadlines Frequent mental and visual concentration is required to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Periodic stressful situations may occur during high-volume periods or when responding to time-sensitive lending needsWho We Are:SFB is an independent community bank with eight branch locations and more than 140 employees.
