Position: Quality Manager

Summary: The Quality Manager leads, develops, and manages all Quality Systems and initiatives to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervisory responsibility for Laboratory, Line Quality Control (QC), and Quality Support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment
  • Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, providing ongoing performance feedback, and managing disciplinary actions as needed

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Operations and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in production and quality performance processes
  • Organizational Lead for all Quality Functions including Quality Assurance, Quality Lab, and Document Control
  • Leads investigations of quality non-conformances and develops, implements, and communicates corrective and preventive actions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Effectively leads and mentors quality staff to deliver exceptional support and service to clients, maintaining a customer-focused approach
  • Develops, implements, and continuously improves quality standard testing and evaluation processes to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory specifications
  • Reviews Master Work Orders and Blending Work Orders to ensure client specifications are accurate
  • Responsible for coordination and execution of client quality audits
  • Regularly communicates externally with client quality contacts regarding production quality issues, including non-conformances and corrective actions
  • Reports raw material quality issues to procurement for corrective action
  • Responsible for sourcing and quoting quality and lab supplies/assets
  • Authors, reviews, and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to quality processes, ensuring documentation aligns with industry best practices
  • Develops and delivers training programs for quality personnel based on the IKI Quality Management System, fostering skill advancement and compliance
  • Ensures adequate staffing of quality personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Understanding of GMP, EPA, and FDA regulations
  • Knowledge of analytical lab testing equipment
  • Experience with microbial testing preferred
  • Prior experience in aerosol manufacturing preferred, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management skills and a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment required


Hours:

  • Primarily 1st shift M-F, with the ability to work extended hours to interact with off-shifts.
