Job DetailsJob Location: ReadyOne Industries 1414 Ability Dr - El Paso, TX 79936Position Type: Full TimePOSITION SUMMARY: The Sewing Machine Operator Level I performs basic sewing operations using standard industrial sewing machines to assemble small garment components and simple seams. Operations involve short, straight stitching and limited curves with low complexity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate single-needle sewing machines to assemble small garment parts. Sew together two pieces of fabric using straight stitching. Perform sewing operations with: Straight seams up to 30 inches Curved seams up to 10 inches Operate basic serge machines (3-thread) for small components such as flaps. Perform operations on bartack machines, button machines, and eyelet machines. Use double-needle machines for simple items such as tabs and small bags. Maintain production quality standards. Report machine malfunctions and maintain safe operations. Machine Types Single needle machine Basic serge machine (3 thread) Bartack machine Button and eyelet machines Basic double needle machine     Complexity Level Simple garment assembly Short seams and basic components QualificationsMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Experience: Basic knowledge of industrial sewing machine operations preferred but not required, such as single or double needle etc. Specific Skills: Must be able to follow verbal or written instructions. Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required. Other Skills and Abilities: Good mechanical aptitude to be able to make machine adjustments. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Occasionally stands and walks. Frequently sits. Continuously gasps. Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
