Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: El Paso Childrens Hospital - El Paso, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 2 Year Degree, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Night, Job Category: Nurse, Supervises and coordinates unit operations/activities on a specific shift to ensure quality patient care and optimal operational efficiency that ensures continuity of care. Maintains authority for resource allocation. Assists Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator in the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff. Supervises the work of RNs, and non-licensed members of the nursing staff. Qualifications: Work Experience One or more years of hospital based acute care experience.License/Registration/Certification CPR Training Program for licensed nurses working with adult and pediatric patient populations. CPR training not required for licensed nurses working in Specialty Care Nurseries. NRP required for licensed nurses working in Specialty Care Nurseries. Current RN License to practice in the State of TexasPlease Note: RN PRN candidates, whether internal or external candidates, must have certifications noted in the table below by department at the start of assignment/employment.Certification by Unit: Certification by Unit Departments Upon Hire Obtained within 6 months from Date of Hire Obtained within 12 months from Date of Hire Obtained within 18 months from Date of Hire   RN BLS ACLS PALS NRP STABLE APHON TNCC ENPC PICU X X   X       X   Pediatrics X X   X           IMCU X X   X           Hematology/Oncology X X   X     X     NICU X X     X X       Perioperative Services X X X X           Emergency Dept X X X X X* X*   X X Nurse Imaging X X X X                                 *          For Emergency Dept. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
