Summary
The Physician Marketing Manager for the Tenet Strategic Marketing Group (TSMG) will play an important role in Tenet’s continued transformation into a consumer-focused organization. This position will investigate, determine and effectively communicate “the story” of how our employed healthcare providers make a positive impact on the people they serve through their primary care and specialized service line offerings.
Reporting to the National Director of Physician Marketing, with strong day-to-day interactions with the local TPR leadership team, the Manager will work with the National Physician Marketing Director, the Hospitals’ Group Marketing Director and the Hospital Communications Director/Market Manager to implement marketing and communications activities that support service line growth and brand engagement within a TPR market. This position will build trusting and collaborative relationships with internal and external teams and astutely represent the TPR Brand in establishing and maintaining effective community engagement within the framework and vision of the Tenet Strategic Marketing Group, a component of the Tenet Operating System.

Responsibilities
- Investigate and communicate compelling stories that illustrate the positive impact of employed healthcare providers.Â
- Implement marketing and communications initiatives that support service line growth and brand engagement.Â
- Collaborate closely with national and local TPR leaders on marketing strategy and execution.Â
- Build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships across internal teams and external partners.Â
- Represent the TPR Brand in community engagement efforts aligned with TSMG’s vision and framework.Â
- Utilize effective storytelling, writing, and editing skills across traditional and digital platforms.Â
- Leverage consumer engagement technologies, digital tools, and social media to support marketing objectives.Â
- Manage integrated communications programs while balancing multiple, complex priorities.Â
- Analyze and articulate the effectiveness of previous communications or business strategies using KPIs and metrics.Â
- Apply a proactive, service-oriented approach with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.Â
Qualifications
Education/ExperienceÂ
- Bachelor’s Degree is requiredÂ
- Advanced degree in business or public sector equivalent, marketing/communications, or health related field is preferredÂ
- Exceptional writer and communicator, with a concise, clear style; creative writing skill is not necessary. Proper use of grammar is key.Â
- At least 5 years of demonstrated progressive experience and responsibility for communications and marketing or roles requiring similar skill sets (data analysis to drive business strategy, communication to internal/external stakeholders, business development outreach); healthcare industry experience strongly preferredÂ
- Demonstrated success in utilizing effective storytelling, writing and editing skills across multiple platformsÂ
- Demonstrated experience utilizing direct to consumer engagement and communications technology and tools, digital platforms, and social mediaÂ
- Demonstrated experience in managing integrated communications programs and multiple, complex prioritiesÂ

- Writing and copy-editing skills across multiple platforms including traditional and digital applications (e.g. social media, news media, website, email, collateral, newsletters, event remarks, leadership and strategy presentations)Â

The Physician Marketing Manager supports Tenet’s consumer-focused transformation by helping define and communicate the value and impact of employed healthcare providers across the community. Reporting to the National Director of Physician Marketing and working closely with local TPR leadership, the role contributes to marketing and communications efforts that strengthen service line growth and brand engagement. The Manager also upholds and represents the TPR Brand within the vision and framework of the Tenet Strategic Marketing Group.Â
