Automotive Sales Assistant

Job Description

Hall Toyota in Elizabeth City has a new opportunity available for a seasoned sales professional who is ready to take the leap into the automotive industry. Former BDC experience in automotive would be a definite plus, but strong call center or other cold-calling experience would be a plus. The associate hired for this role will become an Automotive Mastermind.

The Automotive Mastermind representative acts as the primary connection between prospective buyers and the dealership. Unlike floor salespeople who close deals in person, a Mastermind will focus on converting phone calls, texts, and internet leads into scheduled visits. This role requires strategic thinking, strong technical skills and a deep understanding of the automotive industry and customer relationship management.  The associate will be responsible for making 100 or more outgoing phone calls daily, and we are looking for an experienced, reliable representative who understands the accountability required for this position.

The schedule for this role is 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, with one Saturday required at the end of the month. Pay is $18 per hour plus bonuses for hitting key metrics.

Responsibilities

·         Log all activity, customer interactions, outcomes, and follow-up actions in CRM daily, including updates to CDK as appropriate

·         Maintain a solid understanding of current vehicle inventory, features and special offers

·         Book confirmed visits for sales and coordinate schedules with consultants

Share customer feedback appropriately with department managers

·         Deliver a customer experience that builds trust, loyalty, and repeat business

·         Support overall dealership growth, retention, and customer satisfaction goals

·         Demonstrate commitment to professional conduct, ethics, and compliance standards

Qualifications

·         Automotive customer-facing experience, or strong call-center experience, preferred

·         Strong communication and relationship-building skills

·         Results-driven mindset with high accountability 

·         Professional presence, strong ethics, and customer-first attitude

·         Proficiency in CRM/DMS systems and digital communication tools

·         Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong work ethic and self-motivation
