Job Details: Job Location: THE LUTHERAN VILLAGE AT MILLERS GRANT INC - ELLICOTT CITY, MD, Salary Range: $29.50 - $35.96Hourly, Join Our Team at Lutheran Village at Miller's Grant!We're currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time LPN to become part of our caring and mission-driven community. This position is scheduled for 72 hours per pay period on the overnight shift (7:00pm to 7:00am) and includes an every-other-weekend rotation.Schedule:Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, and FridayWeek 2: Tuesday, Saturday, and SundayThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for administering medications and treatments, supervising Nursing Assistants and CMAs as assigned, and ensuring the highest standards of resident care. It's a meaningful opportunity to make a difference every day. Come see the difference! What You’ll Do as an LVMG LPN: Administer and order medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with physician orders. Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, conditions, and responses to treatment; report changes promptly. Supervise and support nursing assistants and CMAs in delivering direct care according to care plans. Maintain medication accountability, including narcotics counts, disposal, and returns to pharmacy. Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and resident orientation as needed. Collaborate with physicians, Program Coordinator, and nursing staff to develop and update individualized care plans. Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Provide patient care such as catheterization, ostomy care, wound dressing, and restorative therapies. Participate in patient care conferences, staff training, and quality assurance activities. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all nursing activities, medications, treatments, and incidents. Promote resident dignity, privacy, and safety while fostering a compassionate care environment. Assist in policy implementation, equipment maintenance, and departmental communication. Participate in emergency procedures and support facility safety programs. Current, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an LPN.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, including residents, staff, families, external vendors/authorities, and the public. Strong attention to detail in writing, proofreading, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a cooperative, respectful, and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care. Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology. Maintains professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations. Physically able to move throughout the workday and lift items up to 25 pounds using safe handling practices. May be necessary to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations.
