This is an open posting inviting qualified candidates to submit an application for consideration for future part-time adjunct faculty openings.
Responsibilities include:
Teach Technical Problem Solving, an introductory engineering technology course for students entering engineering technology programs at Lorain County Community College.
Deliver engaging, in-person instruction at the Lorain Correctional Institution (LorCI) and/or Grafton Reintegration Center (GRC) in Grafton, Ohio.
Teach students to apply a structured problem-solving methodology to technical and engineering-related problems.
Instruct students in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Windows file management, and other computer applications commonly used in engineering technology.
Incorporate current instructional technologies, including the Canvas Learning Management System, to support student learning and assessment.
Evaluate student learning through assignments, projects, quizzes, and other assessment methods.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress in accordance with Lorain County Community College and Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) policies.
Communicate effectively with students, division faculty, and college staff.
Comply with all Lorain County Community College and Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) policies and procedures governing instruction within correctional facilities.
Courses may be scheduled during daytime or evening hours.
