Automotive Mechanic – Brake & Auto Repair Shop

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Automotive Mechanic to join a busy auto repair shop specializing in brake service and repair. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, be comfortable diagnosing vehicle issues, and provide quality repairs while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive brake systems
  
• Replace brake pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, and related components
  
• Perform brake inspections and identify worn or damaged parts
  
• Diagnose basic mechanical and suspension issues
  
• Perform routine automotive maintenance and repairs as needed
  
• Test-drive vehicles when necessary to verify repairs
  
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment safely and correctly
  
• Clearly communicate needed repairs and findings
  
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
  
• Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards
  

Requirements

• Previous automotive mechanic or technician experience preferred
  
• Strong knowledge of brake systems and brake repair
  
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and automotive diagnostic equipment
  
• Knowledge of suspension, steering, and general automotive repair is a plus
  
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced shop
  
• Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
  
• Valid driver’s license preferred
  
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift
