Store Manager – Automotive Repair Shop

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy automotive repair shop specializing in brake service and general auto repair. This position requires strong leadership, customer service, sales, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily store and shop operations
  • Manage, train, and support mechanics and front-counter staff
  • Schedule employees and help maintain proper staffing levels
  • Greet customers and assist with service questions and repair needs
  • Prepare estimates, explain recommended repairs, and obtain customer approval
  • Schedule repair appointments and manage workflow throughout the shop
  • Monitor sales, productivity, labor costs, and overall store performance
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and work to resolve issues
  • Ensure parts and supplies are ordered and properly stocked
  • Process payments, invoices, and other store paperwork
  • Maintain accurate customer and service records
  • Ensure the shop remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures
  • Help meet sales and customer-service goals while maintaining quality workmanship


Requirements

  • Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Automotive repair, tire, brake, or service-center experience strongly preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Comfortable discussing automotive repairs and services with customers
  • Strong sales, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and point-of-sale system experience
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Dependable and professional with strong attention to detail
