Steel Tower, 57th Floor, Pittsburgh PA 16219 seeks a Physician-Nephrology & Intensivist to specialize in kidney care and the treatment of diseases of the kidneys, such as chronic kidney disease (CKD), polycystic kidney disease (PKD), acute renal failure, kidney stones, and high blood pressure; diagnose a wide variety of clinical problems representing the extreme of human disease and work as a member of a coordinated care team, either as the primary care provide or a consultant, treating a broad range of conditions common among critically ill patients, with technological procedures and devices used in intensive care settings, and in areas such as end-of-life decisions, advance directives, estimating prognosis, and counselling of patients and their families at UPMC Nephrology, 300 State Street, Erie PA 16507 and  UPMC Hamot, 201 State St., Erie PA 16650. Has the ability to work remotely from home if necessary, but not on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Specialize in kidney care and the treatment of diseases of the kidneys, such as chronic kidney disease (CKD), polycystic kidney disease (PKD), acute renal failure, kidney stones, and high blood pressure

  • Diagnose a wide variety of clinical problems representing the extreme of human disease

  • Work as a member of a coordinated care team, either as the primary care provide or a consultant, treating a broad range of conditions common among critically ill patients, with technological procedures and devices used in intensive care settings, and in areas such as end-of-life decisions, advance directives, estimating prognosis, and counseling of patients and their families

  • Has the ability to work remotely from home if necessary, but not on a regular basis.

 

- Medical Degree, Doctor of Osteopathy, its equivalent or its foreign equivalent

- Must have completed a residency in Internal Medicine and must have completed fellowships in Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine

- Must have Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialties in Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine or an active candidate for Internal Medicine with subspecialities in Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine board certification

- Must possess an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license & DEA license.
