Employment Type: Part time - Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 10am-1pm (about 12 hours per week)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $17.00 / hr.

St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a dependable, caring, and responsible individual to supervise students during lunchtime. This position plays an important role in providing a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, demonstrates strong supervisory skills, and supports the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

Welcome students each morning with warmth and professionalism.
Supervise students in the lunch area.
Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment.
Ensure students follow school expectations and behavior guidelines.
Communicate any concerns regarding student behavior, health, or safety to the principal or designated staff.
Ensure the lunch area is clean and organized before students transition to lunch.
Follow all diocesan and school safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Religious Qualifications

Active, practicing Roman Catholic (preferred)
Respects and understands a Catholic school philosophy

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a school, childcare, recreation, or similar setting preferred.
Positive, patient, and caring demeanor.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to supervise students independently while maintaining a safe environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and actively supervise children throughout the shift.
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
