About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the company’s financial records and day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will help maintain accurate financial records, monitor expenses and inventory costs, manage payments and collections, and provide financial reports to support the growth of the furniture business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
- Monitor daily sales, expenses, income, and cash flow.
- Track the cost of furniture production, including raw materials, labor, transportation, and other production expenses.
- Monitor inventory and reconcile stock records with financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and customer balances.
- Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports for management.
- Prepare budgets and monitor actual expenses against approved budgets.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee payment records.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash records, and other financial accounts.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and payment records.
- Assist with pricing and costing of furniture products to ensure profitability.
- Monitor outstanding customer payments and follow up on receivables.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax and statutory requirements.
- Identify financial discrepancies and provide recommendations to management.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
- Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Operations, and Production teams to ensure proper financial controls.

- Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, furniture, retail, or a related industry.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
- Good understanding of inventory and product costing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly.
