The Maturity Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all organizational components of adult church ministry that ensures the spiritual development and growth of members as well as the growth of the small groups by developing, planning and implementing activities and strategies that enhance growth.

Job Description 

  • Provide strategic support and guidance to the ministry teams responsible for small groups and member maturity.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, equipping and development of leaders and volunteers within the Maturity Unit, ensuring they have the capacity to support congregational growth.
  • Design and oversee maturity platforms and programs that challenge members to grow spiritually and deepen their engagement with the church.
  • Revamp and strengthen the Midweek Service to improve relevance, participation and spiritual impact.
  • Develop and facilitate devotional programs and resources that support members' spiritual development.
  • Drive enrolment, participation and sustained engagement across maturity initiatives, monitoring participation and addressing gaps in engagement.
  • Lead and manage the Maturity Unit team, setting clear expectations, coordinating activities and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop standardized teaching guides and outlines for use across the various small groups and maturity platforms.
  • Monitor leadership and membership growth trends and produce regular growth reports that provide actionable insights for Management decision-making.
  • Develop and implement a leadership discovery framework for identifying potential leaders across defined leadership areas and cadres.
  • Design leadership development pathways for Church Staff, Campus Pastors, Campus Ministry Leaders and Volunteer Leaders.
  • Monitor leadership development and HSDC drop-off rates, maintaining attrition within agreed thresholds and implementing interventions where necessary.
  • Establish an engagement and progression system that moves identified leaders from discovery through assessment, development and deployment.
  • Build and implement an effective leadership training and development system, ensuring continuous development and a sustainable leadership pipeline.
  • Continuously develop existing leaders to ensure leadership capacity and maturity growth remain aligned with the church's strategic priorities.


Requirements

  • Minimum of a First Degree or a Diploma/Certificate from a recognized Bible College or theological institution.
  • Pastoral training and/or ordination with demonstrated experience in ministry, discipleship or spiritual development.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience, preferably in a church, discipleship, small-group or leadership development environment.
  • Experience in developing and managing leaders, volunteers and ministry teams.
  • Experience designing or implementing discipleship, maturity, leadership development or member engagement programs
  • Experience with data collection, reporting and monitoring of participation, retention and leadership development outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as relevant digital communication and social media platforms.
