Job DetailsJob Location: Main Office - Eureka, CA 95503Position Type: Part TimeThe part-time Hospice Physician provides medical oversight and clinical support to Hospice of Humboldt, with primary responsibility for after-hour and weekend physician call coverage. Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice team, the Hospice Physician assists in managing symptom control, addressing urgent clinical concerns, providing guidance to nursing staff, and supporting high-quality end-of-life care for hospice patients. This position serves as a key clinical resource during non-business hours, helping ensure timely medical decision-making, patient comfort, and continuity of care. The Hospice Physician participates in telephone consultation, medication management, certification and recertification activities as needed, and may provide occasional in-person evaluations when clinically appropriate.  The ideal candidate is a compassionate physician with experience in hospice, palliative care, family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, or a related field and a commitment to patient-centered end-of-life care. Qualifications & Work DetailsRequired Graduate of an accredited medical school. Current license to practice medicine in California. Current DEA license. Preferred: Admitting privileges at local hospitals Work Location: Remote with the ability to provide in-person care, as needed. Compensation: $100/hour for active work plus $200 on-call stipend per shift
