HOUSEKEEPING AIDE – Full-Time – Albany Care

Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, is seeking a Full Time Housekeeping Aide.

Monday - Friday 8-hour shift, 7am-3pm - with One Weekend Day Required Every Other Weekend.

Responsibilities of the Full Time Housekeeping Aide:

• Dust, wash and disinfect as directed all rooms, halls, bathrooms, fixtures, floors, doors, ceilings and walls
• Clean and disinfect water fountains, sinks, mirrors 
• Clean ledges, shelves, vents, windows, window sills, etc.
• Inspect rooms for sanitation, order and safety
• Replenish supplies of soap and towels
• Keep cleaning supplies organized

Requirements

of the Full Time Housekeeping Aide:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must speak, read and write English
• Housekeeping experience preferred but not required
• Housekeeping experience in healthcare facility is a plus
• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine job duties
• Personable and professional with residents,staff, and  families
• Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Must be compassionate and understanding of individuals with psychiatric illness
