Compensation Data
The pay rate for this position is $31.00 per hour. Maintenance Bonus $2500 sign on bonus $250 after two weeks no attendance issues. $2250 after 120 days.

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Level 2 team member to help keep our Evansville facility operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. In this role, you will support the Maintenance Supervisor by troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment, completing preventive maintenance, assisting with equipment installations, and maintaining facility systems and grounds. You will work closely with production employees, contractors, vendors, and site leadership while supporting Kerry’s safety, quality, food safety, and continuous improvement standards.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with Kerry and manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and adjust plant machinery and equipment, including mixers, conveyors, compressors, pumps, bearings, sprockets, and chains.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welders, drill presses, grinders, cutting equipment, and other metalworking equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with new equipment installations, facility repairs, building maintenance, and grounds maintenance.
- Document completed work, labor hours, repair details, installations, notifications, and work orders accurately in SAP.
- Learn production processes and equipment to provide timely support to production employees.
- Recommend equipment or procedures for preventive maintenance programs and help identify lasting solutions to recurring maintenance issues.
- Communicate safety, health, equipment, and maintenance concerns that could create hazards or operational downtime.
- Maintain department housekeeping and plant sanitation at or above company and regulatory standards.
- Participate in predictive maintenance, continuous improvement, process improvement, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point activities.
- Operate forklifts and aerial lifts and assist in the parts storeroom as needed.
- Build positive working relationships with coworkers, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and plant visitors.
- Provide break relief to other maintenance employees when needed and complete assigned work accurately and on time.
- Follow all Kerry safety, quality, food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA requirements.
What You'll Need To Succeed
- A two-year degree in industrial technology or advanced manufacturing is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience with mechanical repair, general welding, and minor electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems independently or collaboratively and develop logical solutions.
- Ability to prioritize work and seek guidance from supervisors or management when needed.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining close cooperation with production personnel.
- Willingness to learn new skills, share knowledge with teammates, and contribute positively when priorities change.
- Ability to use company computers and software applications in accordance with company policy.
- Regular, punctual attendance and a consistent on-site presence.
