Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Morningside House of Exton, a leading personal  care community in Exton, PA.

This position works closely with the Property and Facilities Director to ensure the overall safety and comfort of residents and staff at our Exton community.  The position is usually 10 am- 6:30 pm with either Saturday or Sunday responsibilities, some holidays and occasional off hour requests.   Must be able to move 80lb with equipment.

Maintenance Technician - Responsibilities:

• Responds to resident work orders, ensuring quality of service.
• Prepare apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Maintain a positive and Professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Perform floor care (rugs and carpet)
• Performs general maintenance assist with projects as assigned, including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all safety/disaster plans and procedures.
• Perform housekeeping assistance when assigned.
• Responds promptly to emergencies.
• Maintains office, shops, storage and mechanical areas to Morningside Elite Management standards.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.

Maintenance Technician - Requirements:

A High School Diploma and general competency with basic maintenance tasks and concepts

Ability to effectively problem solve and make decisions, works well with variety of personalities
