•   Operate telephone switchboard, including notifying the answering service when in-house coverage is initiated and when the answering service is to resume coverage.
•   Coordinate schedules with backup personnel.
•   Answer switchboard and direct calls and messages to appropriate staff with understanding of staff  working in various areas and those who may be “on-call” for various situations to assure the  optimal functioning of the Agency including weekends and holidays.
•   Locate staff in the field as necessary for weekend/holiday personnel that are working.
•   Search in computer and find necessary schedules related  to visits by staff to specific patients.
•   Processes and distributes agency mail as well as all courier mail..
•   Notify appropriate personnel upon delivery from Fed X, PS, W.B. Mason and other deliveries.
•   Slot, alphabetize and mail out Doctor’s orders for UR on a daily basis as well as color code envelopes for various QI/UR daily mailings.
•   Copy and distribute bi-weekly  and monthly newsletters.
•   Greet VNA visitors in a professional and courteous manner while observing all security procedures.
•   Distribute CARES cards to employees as appropriate on a monthly basis.
•   Other duties as assigned.
•   High School Diploma
•   1 year experience in office environment
•   Must be computer literate
•   Knowledge of basic office equipment and telephone switchboard
•   Ability to handle multiple calls in a calm, professional manner.
