GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEWÂ
Responsible for the manifest of export cargo. Â Ensuring documentation is accurate as per shipping details and instructions. Â Upon confirmation of sailing, documents must be released timely to shippers and/or freight forwarders. Handling Change of Destination after vessel sailing. Answering customer inquiries via phone, email, Live Chat. Correspond with internal and external customers as well as all overseas offices on a daily basis.Â
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIESÂ
- Send final copy of B/L upon confirmed vessel sailing and release Â
- Print and release documents to shippers/forwarders via online or courierÂ
- Handle COD including ROB & Return/Ship-Back Â
- Pre-Filing Manifest submission for cargo sailing out of Canada, CAMS and AFRÂ
- US Customs Filing (EEM) & Panama manifest submission Â
- Inter-department communications via both verbal and writtenÂ
- Guide HMM Bond Usage and Close out In-Bond shipment after vessel sailing Â

- Send B/L papers based upon requestÂ
- Approval process for Internet Original B/L registrationÂ
- Performs other duties as assigned.Â
QUALIFICATIONSÂ

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEÂ
- High School diploma or GED required; college degree in logistics preferred but not required.Â
- Previous experience in the shipping industry preferred

Additional Details:
The pay range listed for this position is the anticipated starting salary or wage range, and the final offered rate will be based on individual merit and the relative compensation of employees in similar positions. HMM employee benefits include highly subsidized individual and family insurance coverage (medical, dental and vision), term life and disability insurance, 401(k) employer matching contributions, paid holidays, and up to 10 vacation days and six sick days in the first year.
