Position Summary


Richard Manufacturing is a family-owned and operated government contracting company located in Ogden, Utah. As a growing manufacturer in the aerospace industry, we are committed to quality, precision, and continuous improvement. We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Machine Shop Technician to support our Machine Shop and Paint Department.


This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced, growing environment. This position will support the Machine Shop, while also assisting with general paint duties and facilities maintenance as needed. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, willing to learn, and maintains a positive attitude while working through the challenges of a growing aerospace manufacturing environment. Experience is preferred, however, we also provide on the job training and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, degrease, sand, mask, prep, paint, and rivet parts and components
  • Prepare surfaces and materials for painting
  • Set up, operate, clean, and maintain paint equipment and paint booths
  • Work safely in a paint booth and shop environment using proper PPE
  • Identify scrapped, damaged, or improperly kitted parts
  • Ensure products meet or exceed job specifications and quality standards
  • Understand proper use of tools and correct tool settings
  • Utilize the tool crib system appropriately
  • Accurately charge labor and rework hours to the correct jobs
  • Maintain up-to-date inspection records, travelers, and related documentation
  • Assist with general shop upkeep and facility maintenance tasks
  • Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
