Overview

The Reimbursement Director oversees payment services for the practice, including establishing and maintaining the practice's fee schedules and fees that relate to manage care activities. Conducts regular analyses of reimbursement rates and oversees coding activities. Also, Oversees regularly scheduled Provider Chart audits.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform chart audits on MSI physicians, which includes meeting with the physicians to report findings and recommendations.
  • Report findings and recommendations to MSI Administration and perform follow up audits as needed.
  • Provide coding education and material to employees and physicians, as needed.
  • Order coding books and billing publications for MSI clinics and Central Billing.
  • Stay informed on coding and billing changes and report pertinent changes to employees/Administration.
  • Enter new codes into the billing system and update the codes for any changes or deletions.
  • Provide assistance and advice for updating or developing charge ticket masters
  • Assist Administration in monitoring the accounts receivables and identifying problems for the MSI groups.
  • Inform Chief Information Officer of any billing or reimbursement problems that are identified.
  • Perform supervisory duties for Reimbursement/Chart Audits/Compliance Department.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance,etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree.
  • 5 years related experience and/or training.
  • 4 years related management experience.
