Job summary:
The lab assistant is an active participant in daily operations, supporting sterile and non-sterile laboratory technicians in prescription, compounding and fulfillment activities.Â
Job Activities and Responsibilities: Â
- Have knowledge of and adhere to all Standard of Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform daily cleaning of laboratory, laboratory equipment and supplies
- Prepare and stock laboratory supplies and devices daily
- Manage compounding and pharmaceutical supply inventory
- Support quality assurance documentation of environmental monitoring and ancillary duties
- Perform compounding duties as required
- Assist in product packaging and prescription fulfillment as required
- Perform shipping and receiving duties as required
- Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:Â
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Attention to detail to identify defective products
- Strong organizational skills

Physical requirements: Â
- Ability to use a computer and computer-related equipment, printer/fax machine 
- Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing.
- Lift to forty (40) pounds at times.
- 20/20 Vision (either aided or unaided) as required by CGMP regulations for visual inspection of finished drug products.
