What it's like to be an Office Manager at Happy Kids Dentistry
As our Full-Time Office Manager, you'll be the cheerful leader who keeps both the front office and the clinic humming. You'll guide, coach, and support our business team and our clinical team (dental assistants and sterilization), making sure schedules are covered, patient flow is smooth, and everyone has what they need to do their best work. You'll partner with our providers to keep the schedule full, the operatories ready, and supplies and equipment stocked.
On the business side, you'll keep a keen eye on production, collections, and daily reconciliation, and work with insurance carriers to resolve claims and eligibility questions. You'll make sure infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards are followed, welcome and train new team members, and resolve patient and parent concerns with warmth and professionalism. What we're looking for in an Office Manager
To thrive as our Office Manager, you'll need a unique blend of leadership, clinical know-how, and heart. A clinical background, such as dental assisting experience, helps you understand and support our clinical team and our providers. Experience leading a team, or a drive to grow into leading one, will help you build trust, give caring and honest feedback, and keep everyone feeling valued.
A cheerful, kind, and open-minded attitude is crucial, because you set the tone for the whole office. Staying calm under pressure and multitasking well will help you navigate the hustle and bustle of a busy pediatric dental office with ease. Strong organization and communication skills will keep the schedule, the paperwork, and the people all on track.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- 3+ years of dental office experience, including 1–2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
- Clinical background, such as dental assisting experience or a Washington dental assistant credential
- Experience leading both clinical and business team members
- Working knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and front office workflows
- Extremely comfortable with computers and technology (Denticon experience preferred)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Cheerful, kind, and open-minded
- Calm under pressure and able to multitask
- Professional in communication and presentation
- Pediatric dental experience is a plus
