- DEA: DEA registration required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
- Other Qualifications: Graduation from an NCCPA-approved PA program or Master’s in Nursing; Acute Care NP program if NP track
- Manage CVICU and step-down cardiothoracic patients (10–15 per day).
- Perform surgeries as needed (1–2 per day).
- Perform temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and arterial line placement.
- Provide on-call coverage from 3p–7a.
- Utilize endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) as required.
