Job Title: Machine Operator - Assembly

 

 

 

Job Summary

Under general supervision assemble parts and operate automatic machines and other precision equipment at assigned stations. Ensure high quality standard of work on parts through understanding and following of work instructions and procedures.  

 

   Responsibility

  • Operate machines and equipment safely and correctly. 
  • Comply with work instructions and department processes to ensure production of quality products to customers.
  • Demonstrate urgency when performing tasks to meet hourly/daily production targets.
  • Understand and accurately complete necessary departmental paperwork (ODS, TMS, routing sheets, etc.).
  • Communicate machine or station issues to department set up technicians or supervisors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Academic/Educational Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent.

 

Required Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing process of assembly and machining, preferred.

  • Exposure to lean concepts and continuous improvement, preferred.

  • Ability to keep safety and quality as top priorities.

  • Entry/basic level computer skills.

  • Accurately record and input data.

  • Proven record of good attendance

  • Flexible and able to adjust daily tasks accordingly.

  • Ability to work in both team and independent environments.

  • Ability to communicate well.

  • Willing to learn.
