McLeod Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic training services at Mullins High School in Mullins, South Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with athletes while collaborating with an experienced team of sports medicine professionals dedicated to injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement.

Position Summary

The Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing daily athletic training coverage for practices and competitions, including:

Prevention, evaluation, treatment, and management of athletic injuries
Practice and game coverage for assigned athletic programs
Development and implementation of sports performance programs
Injury documentation and medical record maintenance
Communication with coaches, physicians, athletes, and families
Organization and administration of athletic training services
Participation in outreach services for club, recreational, or collegiate athletic programs as needed

The Athletic Trainer will work under the direction of the Medical Director and as part of McLeod Sports Medicine's team of 25 Athletic Trainers, following established policies and procedures in a collaborative and progressive work environment.

McLeod Sports Medicine operates from a state-of-the-art 25,000-square-foot outpatient rehabilitation facility that provides orthopedic and sports rehabilitation services for individuals with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional care while supporting athletes at every level of competition.

Work Schedule

Full-Time
80 Hours Bi-Weekly

About Mullins High School

Mullins High School is a public high school serving approximately 550 students in grades 9-12. The school supports 11 sports and 15 athletic teams and competes in Region 10 alongside several area schools. This position provides the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on a growing and competitive athletic program.

Qualifications

Required Education & Credentials

Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) from an accredited institution
Certification through the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers
Eligible for Athletic Trainer licensure in the State of South Carolina
Current CPR and AED certification
