Job Description
The Seasonal Store Service Specialist provides a seamless customer experience throughĀ expertise, ownership, accountability, and responsiveness. Provides professional and quality service to internal and external customers byĀ utilizingĀ strong verbal and written communication skills and effective telephone techniques. Utilizes our industry-leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and recalibrations.Ā
What youĀ will doĀ
Ā· Welcome in-shop customers and resolve customer concerns quickly and efficiently -- without breaking a sweat -- oftenĀ coming up withĀ creative solutions.Ā
Ā· Manage incoming calls, e-mails and faxes for service issues, pricing, warranties, commercial, dispatch, repair, cash, wholesale andĀ same-dayĀ reschedules/cancellations.Ā
Ā· Ensure efficient operations by confirming and completing work order information, including insurance verification,Ā additionalĀ partsĀ and missing information.Ā
Ā· Breeze through administrative tasks such as buyouts, invoices, work orders, managing deleted workĀ ordersĀ and processing credit memos and rebills.Ā
Ā· Review orders from the contact center and manage dealer part orders and special accounts.Ā
Ā· Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands on) with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders.Ā
Ā· Repair chips,Ā cracksĀ and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.Ā
Ā· Manage work orders, customerĀ documentationĀ and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.Ā
Ā· Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time during the repair process as well as performĀ additionalĀ housekeeping tasks inĀ shop.Ā
Ā· Recalibrate automotive safety systems, includingĀ trouble-shootingĀ and completing diagnostic testing.Ā
Ā· SafelyĀ operateĀ customer vehicles, company-issued tools, and chemicalsĀ utilizedĀ throughout the workday.āÆĀ
Ā· Store opening and closing proceduresĀ
Ā· Performs other duties as assignedĀ

Education Qualifications
Ā· High School Diploma GED or equivalent Required.Ā
Ā· Valid state-issued driverās license and any other licenses (as required by federal,Ā stateĀ and local laws) toĀ operateĀ a company vehicle. RequiredĀ
Ā· On-the-job training/completion of SafeliteĀ SafeTech⢠certification. RequiredĀ
Experience QualificationsĀ
Ā· 1-3 years Telephone operations or business administration experience. RequiredĀ
Ā· Ability to provide world class customer service in a changing, fast-paced operation.Ā
Ā· Must be 18 years of age or older.Ā
Skills and Abilities
Ā· Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods,Ā assistĀ an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26 lbs. to 50 lbs.Ā
Ā· Ability to work in tight spaces,Ā bendĀ and twist bodyĀ
Ā· Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectivelyĀ
Ā· Ability toĀ operateĀ a motor vehicleĀ in accordance withĀ all federal,Ā stateĀ and local lawsĀ
