The CRT or RRT position is part of the Respiratory Department and is a contingent role budgeted for approximately 12 hours per two-week pay period, with variable shifts and hours based on department needs and availability.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy

  • Ohio Respiratory Therapy License required

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in critical situations

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform independent professional respiratory care, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures

  • Evaluate patient care, establish therapeutic objectives, and review outcomes

  • Provide care in critical and/or life-threatening patient situations

  • Administer emergency, life-sustaining procedures until physician oversight is available

  • Perform selected cardiology responsibilities, Breath Alcohol Testing, and other duties as assigned

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to provide seamless patient care

  • Adhere to all departmental and hospital standards of practice
