ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATE

Job Details: Job Location: SUNCOAST BEVERAGE SALES LLC - FORT MYERS, FL, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Accounting, POSITION:                  ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATEOVERVIEW:                Responsible for performing accounts payable and other general accounting tasks, handling vendor correspondence, and serving as the backup to the front desk and other admin functions. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller.SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for reconciling and processing beverage invoices by verifying the Bill of Lading and Purchase entries for accuracy. Resolves purchase order and invoice discrepancies by conducting the research and preparing documentation to support the necessary adjustments Performs daily posting of accounts payable, EFT and ACH payments Submits proper documentation for approval and processing payments by check Reconciles accounts payable aging to the GL Ensures credits are received for outstanding memos and returned cooperage Verifies supplier accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions Documents and/or updates tasks and/or procedures, as needed. Assist with processing and reconciliation of supplier billbacks and rebates, as needed Expected to cross-train and provide back-up for various other accounting duties Provides administrative and clerical support as necessary Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential Any other task associated with this position and as determined by the Assistant Controller, Controller or senior management.Qualifications: JOB REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of accounting principles and good analytical skills are required PC proficiency, knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience with accounting software and online platforms are required A keen eye for detail, thoroughness, and excellent data entry skills are required Ability to calculate, analyze, and post manual and automated transactions and investigate any irregularities Capacity to apply experience and education along with the ability to learn company specifics Reliance on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Must have excellent work habits, outstanding organizational and time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, are a must Flexibility and willingness to learn and perform a variety of accounting tasks as needed
