Future Aviation, Inc., a HEICO Corporation (NYSE: HEI) Repair Group facility, located in Southwest Florida, is the largest independent regional airline component MRO facility in the industry. We are currently seeking an Electronics Technician to join our team.

The Electronics Technician must accurately repair and overhaul various aircraft electronic components in accordance with applicable technical data as well as perform inspections as required by the FAA.

Essential Functions include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities - Electronic Technician:

  • Fully analyzes component maintenance manual, all required blueprints, drawings, work orders and sketches to troubleshoot, repair and install desired product or part.
  • Detects errors and corrects through proper departmental channels.
  • Professionally trains and leads other Team Members in proper work techniques.
  • Schedules items through the shop to maintain on-time deliveries.
  • Inspects and checks components prior to installation to prevent damage.
Qualifications

Skills:

  • Must have 5 plus years micro components experience
  • Must have 5 plus years board level experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical data and component maintenance manuals
  • Must be able to read and write the English language
  • Must be proficient in the use of Tools & Equipment

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
