The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, income auditing, and payroll processing for the property. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, timely payroll processing, and compliance with company policies and procedures.Â

Essential FunctionsÂ
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, income auditing, and payrollÂ
- Supervise and support accounting staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of responsibilitiesÂ
- Process property payroll accurately and on time, including reviewing time records, payroll adjustments, and resolving discrepanciesÂ
- Monitor labor reporting and ensure compliance with payroll policies and applicable wage and hour regulationsÂ
- Safeguard hotel assets, monitor receivables, and maintain effective internal controlsÂ
- Assist in preparing accurate monthly financial statements and reportsÂ
- Maintain financial records, contracts, leases, and supporting documentationÂ
- Ensure compliance with company policies, management agreements, and applicable laws and regulationsÂ
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparing required documentationÂ
- Assist with financial presentations and reporting for ownership and managementÂ
- Oversee income auditing, cash and credit card reconciliations, and chargeback resolutionÂ
- Review direct billing applications and provide recommendations to the Controller or Director of FinanceÂ
- Ensure accurate billing practices and review billing adjustmentsÂ
- Support month-end closing, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliationsÂ
- Ensure compliance with company cash-handling policies and proceduresÂ

- Collaborate with department leaders to resolve financial discrepancies and improve processesÂ
- Perform additional duties as assignedÂ
QualificationsÂ
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitalityÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredÂ
- Previous supervisory experience preferredÂ
- Experience processing payroll and knowledge of payroll procedures and wage and hour requirementsÂ
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliationsÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with payroll and hotel accounting systems preferredÂ
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detailÂ
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlinesÂ
