Job Purpose
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•   Lead cross functional team (maintenance, process engineering, operations, etc) on automation and controls-related projects. Â
•   Program Rockwell PLC’s, Fanuc robots and related equipment to support new launches and process improvements.
•   Support operations and maintenance through troubleshooting and assist in assembly line / manufacturing cell recovery. Â
•   Implement quality improvement projects through error proofing, interlocks and vision system (Cognex and Fanuc IR Vision) integration. Â
•   Lead machine guarding initiatives and safety improvements. Â
•   Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
•   Follows company policies, standards and specifications
Education and Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience:
1. Â Â Bachelors of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree with a minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience. Â
2. Â Â Strong understanding of machine tending production processes. Â
3. Â Â PLC troubleshooting knowledge (Rockwell), Fanuc and ABB robot programming knowledge.
4. Â Â Must be a self-starter and possess initiative and able to work with limited supervision.
5. Â Â Must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
6. Â Â Continue professional growth and knowledge through ongoing training and education.
7. Â Â Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with people.
8. Â Â Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems in dealing with complex machines and process problems. Â Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Â Â Should have excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with stressful situations.
10. Â Â Contributes to building a positive team spirit and displays a great attitude. Â
11. Â Â Be available to work off shifts & weekends when needed to complete projects and support the assembly process.Â
