Duties

• Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
• Prepare detailed estimates using automotive estimating software, including labor, parts, and additional services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and collision repairs
• Communicate clearly with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics and repair requirements to ensure accurate service writing
• Upsell additional services and maintenance packages by highlighting benefits aligned with customer needs and vehicle safety
• Manage client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and explaining repair options in an understandable manner
• Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper documentation of all service orders and client interactions
• Utilize auto service management systems to track repairs, generate invoices, and maintain detailed records of customer history

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor/Writer or similar role within a dealership or automotive repair shop
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, tire service, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and other automotive repairs
• Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
• Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with auto estimating and collision repair processes is a plus
• Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in automobile sales is advantageous
• Mechanical experience or background as a service technician enhances understanding of vehicle repairs and client needs
