About This Opportunity

CTI Staffing is partnering with a leading enterprise organization to find an Azure Cloud Architect for their infrastructure team, based remotely with periodic travel to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

This organization is scaling its Azure footprint across multiple regions and needs an architect who can own governance, landing zone design, and infrastructure automation end to end. You'll be the person setting the patterns other engineers build on.

What You'll Do

  • Design and architect Azure solutions aligned to enterprise governance and compliance requirements
  • Build and maintain regional landing zones with proper isolation and connectivity across multiple regions
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for repeatable deployments
  • Implement and enforce Azure Policy, RBAC, and cost optimization strategies
  • Translate business requirements into concrete technical architecture alongside cross-functional teams
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the cloud engineering team


Requirements

What You Bring

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of cloud architecture experience, with a strong Azure focus
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Azure regional landing zones across multiple regions
  • Working proficiency in at least one IaC tool: Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
  • Deep familiarity with Azure Policy, RBAC, and compliance frameworks
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Azure core services, subscriptions, resource groups, and management tooling
  • Experience translating governance policy into working technical implementation
  • Ability to mentor and provide technical direction to cloud engineering teams
  • Ability to travel periodically for onsite work (up to 25% annually)

Nice-to-Have:

  • Azure certification (AZ-305 or equivalent)
  • Experience in large enterprise or regulated industry environments
  • Experience with cost optimization strategies at scale
  • Background translating business requirements into architecture independently

Technical Environment:

  • Microsoft Azure (core services, governance, policy)
  • Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep
  • Azure Policy, RBAC, compliance frameworks

What Success Looks Like:

  • Landing zones designed, deployed, and governed across required regions within the first 3 months
  • IaC pipelines documented and owned, reducing manual deployment work
  • Governance framework in place that the broader engineering team can operate within confidently
