This position requires direct, physical interaction with production and field-returned equipment, printed circuit boards, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The Test Technician works primarily on the manufacturing and repair floor, not at a desk, and is actively involved in equipment setup, diagnostics, and repair at the system and component level. Job Responsibilities Perform hands-on system-level testing, burn-in, and validation of packaging and mail sorting equipment on the production floor. Physically troubleshoot and repair equipment at the system, sub-system, and component level. Test, troubleshoot, and repair printed circuit boards and electronic devices using diagnostic tools. Perform hands-on evaluation and repair of equipment. Assemble cameras and other peripheral electro-mechanical components. Load, configure, and verify software and firmware directly on equipment. Accurately complete and submit repair documentation and test records. Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues in real time. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area on the shop floor. Support team objectives by performing related hands-on tasks as needed.     Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Strong working knowledge of Windows-based environments. Component-level knowledge of PCs and electronic assemblies. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as Digital Volt Meters (DVM) and oscilloscopes. SMT soldering experience and component-level repair capability. Strong electro-mechanical aptitude with the ability to work directly on equipment. Comfortable working on the production/repair floor for extended periods. Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, and move between work areas. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and handle equipment and tools safely. Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, with a strong focus on quality and safety. Experience Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent hands-on technical training. 2+ years of hands-on experience in an electronics, manufacturing, repair, or industrial environment. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This role is primarily floor-based and requires regular hands-on interaction with equipment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
