·       Work hours: four - 10 hour shift 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM no weekends or holidays.

Here’s What You Need

·       High School Diploma or Equivalent is required

·       Associate degree preferred

·       Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred

·       2 years’ experience in Histopathology preferred

·       HT (ASCP) Histotechnician 6 months required

·       HTL (ASCP) Histotechnologist 6 months required

What You Will Do

Follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, handling, and processing. 

·       Specimen Integrity

·       Gross Room

·       Frozen Section

·       Test Procedures      

·       Microtomy

·       Preparation of Slides and Stains

·       Evaluate stains

·       Cytology Specimens

·       Reference Lab

·       Laboratory Operations    

·       Safety
