Safety Management System Data Analyst 

  • Bell headquarters in Fort Worth TX, is seeking a self-motivated aviation safety professional to assist in the development, monitoring, analysis and continuous improvement of our safety performance monitoring and measurements in support of our worldwide Corporate Safety Management System (SMS). This position supports the Safety Management Systems team in the execution of the company’s Enterprise SMS

  • Collect, validate, and analyze product safety-related data to support Bell’s FAA-compliant SMS.

  • Conduct statistical analyses to support internal stakeholders and external customer requirements, including trend identification and risk quantification.

  • Support Safety Risk Management by compiling historical data, conducting quantitative analyses, and preparing risk assessment inputs for subject matter experts.

  • Monitor Safety Assurance metrics, evaluate mitigation effectiveness, and identify emerging hazards using statistical techniques and data visualization tools.

  • Develop dashboards, Safety Performance Indicator (SPI) tracking, culture surveys, and trend reports for Safety Review Boards (SRB) and senior leadership.

  • Identify data gaps, improve reporting workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement of SMS processes, tools, and documentation.

  • Other tasks as assigned.



Skills You Bring To this Role 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/Applied Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.  Advanced degrees and certification in Aviation Safety and Data Analysis will be considered as additional experience.
  • 3+ years in aviation safety analytics or adjacent fields.   
  • Experience with data capture and analysis for either an aircraft OEM or medium to large aviation operator.
  • Data Visualization: Ability to create dashboards and charts using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Python/R, Excel, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey analytical insights to technical and non‑technical audiences at all organizational levels, across large cross‑functional groups, and to customers.
  • Ability to audit, analyze, and communicate data, trends, and safety information to support change management initiatives and enhance overall safety performance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product support, quality, and safety stakeholders in a regulated OEM environment.
