We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused SBA Lending Specialist to support the origination, structuring, and execution of SBA and conventional financing solutions. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in SBA 7(a) lending, credit analysis, and client advisory, who excels at guiding business owners through the funding process from initial consultation to closing.  The SBA Lending Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to aspiring business owners, helping them understand their financial position and identify the right funding strategies to achieve their ownership goals. This role blends financial analysis, consultative lending, and relationship management to guide clients through the early stages of the lending process and toward successful business ownership.

This is an in-office position based in our West Fort Worth office. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance. The role will begin fully on-site, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after successful completion of the training period.  

This role is also eligible for quarterly bonuses in accordance with the company’s established commission and bonus program, based on closed deal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and structure SBA 7(a) and conventional loan opportunities for small business clients
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, providing consultative guidance on financing options
  • Analyze borrower financials, business plans, and creditworthiness to support deal viability
  • Collaborate with underwriting and operations teams to package and process loans efficiently
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners (brokers, franchise consultants, CPAs, etc.)
  • Assist in managing pipeline activity, ensuring deals move forward in a timely and compliant manner
  • Support outbound efforts to generate new lending opportunities

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in SBA lending, business banking, or commercial lending
  • Strong understanding of SBA 7(a) loan programs and credit structuring principles
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and assessing borrower risk
  • Ability to communicate complex financing concepts clearly to clients
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deals and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Experience

  • Background working with franchise financing or small business funding
  • Experience in both bank and non-bank lending environments
  • Exposure to loan origination systems and CRM tools
  • Existing network of referral sources is a plus
