With dedicated professionals and assemblers regularly operating two full shifts, ISC operates with the most current high-speed tooling, material handling, and test equipment.


Job Overview

The NPI Engineering Supervisor leads and develops NPI Engineers and Technicians while remaining hands-on in the technical execution of new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for prioritizing team workloads, ensuring NPI deliverables and documentation are completed on schedule, coordinating product transfers between departments, and driving improvements in manufacturability, yield, and cycle time.

The NPI Engineering Supervisor works closely with Engineering, Account Management, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure products successfully transition through the manufacturing lifecycle. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise and people leadership, with an emphasis on developing the team, solving complex manufacturing problems, and improving how ISC introduces new products into production.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead and develop a team of NPI Engineers and Technicians, setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and holding the team accountable for performance and project execution.
  • Set priorities and manage workloads across the NPI team, balancing project timelines, technical complexity, business priorities, and available resources.
  • Oversee NPI execution from customer order/release through product transfer and production readiness, ensuring required deliverables, documentation, and release requirements are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate product transfers between NPI, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and other departments to ensure new products transition into production smoothly.
  • Drive DFM/DFA across NPI projects to improve manufacturability, yield, quality, cycle time, and cost.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership when complex manufacturing, process, or product issues require escalation, using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to drive resolution.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve NPI cycle time, manufacturing yields, production efficiency, and the overall product transfer process.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Account Management, Supply Chain, and Operations to identify risks, resolve issues, and keep NPI projects moving forward.
  • Monitor NPI performance and communicate project status, risks, resource needs, and schedule concerns to key stakeholders.
  • Develop scalable manufacturing processes by identifying opportunities related to tooling, equipment, processes, documentation, and production methods.
  • Build team capability by identifying development needs, strengthening technical skills, and creating opportunities for Engineers and Technicians to take on greater responsibility.
  • Improve the NPI operating process by identifying gaps in communication, documentation, prioritization, and execution and implementing practical solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of business needs.


Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, NPI Engineering, Process Engineering, ora related manufacturing engineering function.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience, with accountability for team performance and employee development.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and the product lifecycle.
  • Experience managing project priorities, schedules, costs, and deliverables.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and other technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold technical team members accountable.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with people leadership and cross-functional project management.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfers.
  • Experience with electronics assembly, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors, overmolding, or electromechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software.
  • Experience applying DFM/DFA principles.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with AS9102, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, or process validation.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience with automation, tooling, fixtures, or equipment development.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as M3 or similar platforms.


Compensation Range:

$110,000 - $120,000/year + bonus
