Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting all safety efforts and promoting Company safety culture to all levels of coworkers and clients. 
  • Assisting project teams with coordinating activities to ensure they are pre-planned for safety through scope review and pre-construction meetings. 
  • Working with field operations teams to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. 
  • Working with field operations to develop and update Safe Work Practices. 
  • Assisting in incident investigations and corrective actions. 
  • Conducting site hazard inspections of work operations and completing required reports and notifications. 
  • Providing administrative and technical direction and updates on the safety program. 
  • Assisting project management teams to ensure compliance with all safety policies. 
  • Conducting and participating in safety audits. 
  • Responsible for tracking and ordering safety supplies and materials as needed. 
  • Conducting training and assisting in the onboarding process. 
  • Attending pre-construction meetings, progress meetings and other required meetings. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques and methods. 
  • Practical knowledge of OSHA laws, regulations and policies. 
  • Ability to identify known potential exposures and recommend corrective action. 
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office. 
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task. 
  • Travel will be required for this position (50-70%).

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management or related field, plus 2-3 years of related experience preferred. 

-OR- any equivalent combination of education and experience which meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
