Position Summary

The Online Sales Consultant (OSC) is a professional sales role responsible for converting digital and inbound inquiries into qualified appointments and sales opportunities. This position serves as the first point of contact for prospective homebuyers and plays a critical role in driving revenue through strong lead engagement, follow-up discipline, and customer experience. This position will be hybrid/remote.

Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Conversion

  • Manage and convert inbound leads generated from digital marketing, website, phone, chat, and text channels.
  • Respond to all new leads within established response-time standards.
  • Qualify prospects based on timeline, budget, location, and financing readiness.
  • Set, confirm, and manage appointments for onsite sales teams.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and nurturing for long-term prospects.

Customer Experience

  • Deliver a high-quality, consultative sales experience aligned with the company’s brand and values.
  • Educate prospects on communities, floorplans, pricing, incentives, and the homebuying process.
  • Build trust and rapport while guiding prospects toward next steps.

CRM & Sales Execution

  • Accurately document all prospect interactions in the CRM (HubSpot or equivalent).
  • Execute standardized sales processes, workflows, and communication templates.
  • Maintain data integrity, task completion, and pipeline accuracy.

Collaboration & Sales Alignment

  • Partner closely with onsite sales teams to ensure smooth appointment handoffs and follow-through.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.
  • Coordinate with Mortgage partners to align prospects with financing solutions when appropriate.

Performance & Accountability

  • Meet or exceed individual performance goals tied to bonus compensation, including:
    • Speed-to-lead standards
    • Lead-to-appointment conversion
    • Appointment kept rate
    • Contribution to net sales
  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and performance reviews.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of inside sales, online sales, or customer engagement experience (homebuilding or real estate preferred).
  • Proven success in a salaried sales role with performance-based incentives.
  • Strong phone presence and professional written communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot strongly preferred).
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, and accountable.
  • Real estate license required where applicable or willingness to obtain.
