Mechanical Inspector 2 - Day Shift

Day Shift: 6:00am to 2:30 pm  

SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Responsible for performing precision mechanical inspection of machined parts and incoming materials to verify compliance to specification.

• Basic blueprint reading & shop math (Trigonometry)
• Inspect first off parts from manufacturing work centers
• Collect measurement data for use in First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
• Collect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing in-process and final inspection preferably in a machining, automotive or aerospace business
• Hand tools & measuring tools 
• Basic blueprint reading
• Thorough knowledge of GD&T 
• CMM operation required
• Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gauge, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gauge blocks, thread gauges, and comparative standards
