The FSQA Lead will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance within our meat processing facility. This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Communicate with operations, management, loading dock, and fabrication teams.  Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures specific to meat processing. Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards. Coordinate and perform internal audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., USDA, FDA). Investigate and resolve quality-related issues that arise during production, collaborating closely with production teams. Manage product on hold, coordinate with USDA on retained product(s) Manage and mentor QA team members, providing guidance and training as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and records of QA activities, including test results, audits, and corrective actions. Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and implement preventive measures. Participate in customer and regulatory inspections and audits, serving as the primary point of contact for QA-related inquiries. All other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager QualificationsQualifications: Equivalent work experience. Computer-Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, Planner Proven experience in quality assurance within the food processing industry, preferably in meat processing. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, SQF). Experience with conducting audits and inspections, including familiarity with USDA and FDA regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing a team.
