Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting all Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate or direct supervision.

Willmakeanimpactinthefollowingways:

  • Assist customers at the parts counter, over the phone, and through email with parts inquiries and orders
  • Source and identify parts using catalogs, systems, and internal resources to meet customer needs
  • Process customer transactions including cash, check, and credit card payments
  • Support shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse activities
  • Maintain accurate records and process required paperwork related to parts sales and orders
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers by providing timely support
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

 

Responsibilities

Inordertobesuccessfulinthisroleyouwillneedthefollowing:

  • Experience in customer service, parts sales, warehouse operations, or inventory management
  • Ability to identify and source parts using catalogs, systems, and other resources
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer systems
  • Experience processing orders, handling transactions, and maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

 

Qualifications

Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide accurate information about products and services. Operate cash registers, process cash and credit card transactions. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to basic email inquiries, and direct customers to the appropriate department. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front counter to ensure a professional and welcoming environment. Resolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally, escalating complex issues to management when necessary . Able to support service team with parts when needed.

 


Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and advanced level computer skills. 
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 

Experience: 
Requires some work experience or intermediate level of knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
